Traditionally the Faculty Tenure & Promotion (TeP) process included multiple four-inch binders filled with hundreds of protected pages, detailed table of contents, and indexes. Not to mention supporting diagrams, referenced published works, manuals, and books all ready to present to the review committee for evaluation. At West Chester University of Pennsylvania, the TeP process was examined, evaluated, and reworked to be a completely online process using Hyland OnBase, a Content Services platform. Candidates have replaced binders with a scanner and laptop. This interactive presentation highlights the strong partnership that was developed between Office of the Provost and TeP Committee working with IT leadership, providing an automated, secure way to manage the complete faculty tenure review and promotion decision process, ensuring fairness and visibility throughout. We will talk about the lessons learned from the first year TeP implementation and how the IT organization made changes in the second year providing excellent operational level services and support using a hybrid IT support model working directly with Hyland OnBase.
