Linux/Unix Basics – Learning to Embrace the Command Line

Learn about the Linux/Unix operating system, file structure, commands, files, and other internals in order to be comfortable with systems running a Linux/Unix variant. Many embedded systems run a Unix like system. There is no need to be afraid of the command line, it's actually quite useful! This session is designed to give you enough information about Unix to feel comfortable navigating a Unix like system. We will also explore some *nix command line tools that you can run on your computer to perform useful tasks related to manipulating data.
